Programs

With our one-year program at Making Miracles Group Home, we teach values and skills necessary for a successful life filled with caring, contribution, and commitment. We empower each young mother at our home with:

  • The vision to see opportunity within adversity
  • The value of setting goals
  • The courage to succeed
  • The value of accepting obstacles as challenges and not barriers

Our Making Miracles Program

Our Making Miracles program provides the following:

  • Housing for up to one year at no cost
  • 8 moms can stay in the current house (if they are pregnant or have a child under 3)
  • Budgeting classes, assistance with finding a job, preparing a resume, and learning how to prep for interviews and dress for the job
  • Directing clients to resources if they are in need of counseling
  • Helping clients get established with medical care (finding an OB, helping with Medicaid application, etc.)
  • Helping clients with childcare enrollment
  • Transportation to doctor’s appointments, job interviews, grocery stores
  • Helping clients apply for food stamps
  • Each client is paired with a mentor during the whole process who can also keep in touch with them after the duration of the program if they’d like

A big part of the day-to-day ministry at Making Miracles Group Home is about teaching our young moms critical life disciplines for independent living, such as:

  • Creating and keeping a budget
  • Individual and shared chores
  • Holding a job
  • Managing childcare
  • Maintaining personal house standards
  • Going to church every Sunday
  • Getting off government assistance
  • Standing on your own two feet

At Making Miracles Group Home, we provide young mothers with:

  • A warm home
  • Nutritious meals
  • Support & understanding
  • Godly friendship
  • Christian mentoring
  • A stable environment
  • & more
